Two stick-and-triangle Warli figures — one with a flower headdress, one with a drum — face each other inside concentric saw-tooth borders on a circular terracotta plate.
Why this work
Warli is a 2,500-year-old Maharashtra tribal tradition, painted by women on mud walls with rice paste to bless weddings and harvests. Carrying it onto a terracotta plate keeps it what it has always been — living, functional, everyday ritual art rather than a museum object.
